The Church of Scientology hosted closing ceremonies March 23 for the 9th annual Youth for Human Rights International World Tour at the L. Ron Hubbard Auditorium of the Scientology Community Center at 8039 S. Vermont Avenue in South Los Angeles. The ceremony capped the human rights group’s five-week 28,000-mile journey through seven nations. Youth for Human Rights representatives from Mexico, Liberia, and Japan presented highlights of the 2012 World Tour’s activities in their countries.

In the town of Solihull, some nine miles southeast of Birmingham, England, live swing music set toes atapping in the village square last Friday when the Jive Aces—the UK’s Number One Jive and Swing Band—played and sang for drug-free living.
The Jive Aces support the Church of Scientology “Say No To Drugs, Say Yes To Life” campaign. In concerts all over the world, they spread the truth about drugs through drug education and prevention materials.

The Church of Scientology announced the milestone completion and release of the Chinese translation of core Scientology Scripture. The accomplishment marks the first time all of the fundamental works of Founder L. Ron Hubbard, comprising 18 books and 284 recorded lectures, have been accessible to the world’s Chinese speaking population. The announcement was made by Mr. David Miscavige, Chairman of the Board Religious Technology Center and ecclesiastical leader of the Scientology religion, to more than 6,500 Scientologists attending the annual celebration of Mr. Hubbard’s birthday in Clearwater, Florida.

Scientology auditing—spiritual counseling—inspired Scientologist Karla Bartholomew to venture into the art world as a professional.
One of Scientologist Karla Bartholomew’s earliest memories is of a painting of the Grand Canyon by American artist, Thomas Moran. The painting, which hung in her grandmother’s home, has continued to inspire her work as an artist to this day.
I painted and drew for years, but it was only recently that I started displaying my work and considered painting as a career,” she says.

Scientologist Graham Payne is a firm believer in the power of intention.
Just one example was a decision he made some 17 years ago.
“I was living in Chicago at the time,” says Payne. “Although my life was going fine, I sensed something was missing. I thought to myself, ‘I just want to be in love again.’”

PARIS, FRANCE •
With the weatherman finally announcing a break in record low temperatures, ”No to Drugs, Yes to Life” Association volunteers from the Church of Scientology of Paris braved the weather Sunday—still unseasonably cold—to distribute more than 2,000 drug education and prevention booklets in the 17th arrondissement.
According to the Inter-departmental Mission for the Fight Against Drugs and Drug Addiction, more than 5 million people in France have experimented with cannabis, 1.2 million use the drug on a regular basis and more than 500,000 are addicted.
HARLEM, NEW YORK •
