MOSCOW, RUSSIAMONDAY, MARCH 12, 2012

No matter the weather, Moscow Scientologists carry out drug education and prevention to help counter drug abuse trends in their city.

Despite frigid conditions, volunteers from the Church of Scientology took their drug education and prevention activities to the streets of Moscow this week, distributing 2,600 fliers and collecting 2,000 signatures on drug-free pledges. And for good reason.

SCIENTOLOGY VOLUNTEER MINISTERS AT YBOR, FLORIDA FIESTA DAY

TAMPA, FLORIDAMONDAY, MARCH 12, 2012

Volunteer Ministers of the Church of Scientology of Tampa participated in the 65th annual Fiesta Day Celebration in Ybor City, Florida, a historic neighborhood in Tampa northeast of downtown.

Seventh Avenue was closed to traffic and booths and kiosks lined both sides of the street.

SCIENTOLOGISTS TAKE TO THE PARIS STREETS AGAINST DRUGS

PARIS, FRANCESATURDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 2012

With the weatherman finally announcing a break in record low temperatures, ”No to Drugs, Yes to Life” Association volunteers from the Church of Scientology of Paris braved the weather Sunday—still unseasonably cold—to distribute more than 2,000 drug education and prevention booklets in the 17th arrondissement.

According to the Inter-departmental Mission for the Fight Against Drugs and Drug Addiction, more than 5 million people in France have experimented with cannabis, 1.2 million use the drug on a regular basis and more than 500,000 are addicted.

A drug education seminar was held for a team of Christian ministers at the Evangelical Christian Church on the Hill in Redlands, California, February 21. Rev. Edith Reuveni, President of the Church of Scientology Los Angeles, trained the ministers to conduct The Truth About Drugs drug education lessons to help young people in Riverside County and abroad live drug-free.

Community and religious leaders gathered at the Church of Scientology Community Center at 81st and Vermont in South L.A. January 21 to pay tribute to Rev. Martin Luther King and commemorate the 20th anniversary of the World Literacy Crusade.

Held in the Community Center’s L. Ron Hubbard Auditorium, the event, which included live performances by local youth and recitations and videos of the speeches of Dr. King, focused on the future—bringing about the dream Dr. King envisioned through handling the underlying causes of social ills.
