The world’s largest Scientology Life Improvement Centre opened to the sounds of traditional African music on March 26, with 1,000 university students, community and government leaders, artists and local Scientologists crowding Station Street in Johannesburg for the dedication celebration.

The judgment of the European Court of Human Rights in the case of religious associations of the Church of Scientology in Surgut and Nizhnekamsk is final. On October 1, 2009, the European Court of Human Rights delivered the judgment in the cases NN 76836/01 and 32782/03 in favor of the Churches of Scientology of Surgut and Nizhnekamsk.
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA •
Fifteen hundred Scientologists and their guests from across Nevada and the Western United States gathered Saturday for the grand opening celebration of the new Church of Scientology of Las Vegas. The 40,000-square-foot Church, located at 2761 Emerson Avenue, will serve parishioners from throughout Nevada and represents significant growth for the congregation formed in Las Vegas 40 years ago.

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM •
Nearly 1,000 Scientologists and their guests from across Europe attended the dedication of the Brussels branch of the Churches of Scientology for Europe on Saturday. A representative of Church of Scientology International, the Mother Church of the Scientology religion, officiated at the ceremony held in the early-20th-century historic structure at Boulevard de Waterloo 100-103.
PASADENA, CALIFORNIA •
The Church of Scientology of Pasadena is underway on renovations of the historic Braley Building in the heart of Old Pasadena. The full renovation and restoration of the Braley Building by fall 2010 reflects significant expansion for the Pasadena Church. The 50,800-square-foot building at 35 South Raymond Avenue will serve 10,000 parishioners and provide a broad spectrum of community outreach programs in the greater Pasadena area, including Glendale, La Cañada, La Crescenta, Sunland/Tujunga, the San Gabriel Valley, the Inland Empire and San Bernardino.

The Spanish Tax Agency has recognized the Church of Scientology of Spain as a social non-profit organization, granting a certificate of recognition in Madrid on November 30, 2009.

FRANKFURT, GERMANY •
Bridge Publications is releasing eight popular non-fiction titles by L. Ron Hubbard in 50 languages at the annual Frankfurt Book Fair. The Los Angeles-based publishing house is the exclusive publisher for the Scientology religion and one of the world’s largest all-digital printers. In its announcement to the trade, Nicole Shell, Bridge’s Director of Public Relations said the feat makes the most popular basic Scientology books available to 90 percent of the global book market.

The Church of Scientology Celebrity Centre of Nashville held a spectacular ribbon cutting ceremony to signal the opening of their new quarters in Music City’s Fall School Building. Nashville, the home of the Grand Ole Opry and the Country Music Hall of Fame, is now home to a very special new Scientology Church as well.

The Church of Scientology of Dallas opened its new home before more than 1,000 parishioners, dignitaries and their guests, with Texas cowboy fanfare in the city of Irving, Texas. The new Church of Scientology of Dallas represents more than four decades of growth of Scientology in Texas since the first Church of Scientology was founded there in 1967.

MOSCOW, RUSSIA •
The landmark European Court of Human Rights decision affirming the religious rights of Scientologists throughout Europe has now become law. The court denied the Russian government’s application for review of its April 5 decision in favor of the Church of Scientology of Moscow. That decision overturned the Moscow City government’s refusal to register the Church of Scientology of Moscow as a religious organization.
