In June 2014, Scientology Volunteer Ministers Balkans Disaster Response Team in the Bosnia and Herzegovina village of Kopanica help a man salvage his farm after May’s devastating floods.
The damage caused by the May 2014 floods has been estimated at €1.3 billion in Bosnia and Herzegovina—more than the entire cost to that country by the 1990’s war. But to someone like Vlado, a man from the village of Kopanica, those figures were irrelevant—he was at risk of losing everything.
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA •
More than 4,000 Scientologists gathered in downtown Clearwater, Florida, on Sunday, June 29, to mark the dedication of the landmark Coachman Building. The historic structure now stands transformed as the religious training and counseling center for more than 2,000 members comprising the ecclesiastical ministry of the Flag Land Base, the international spiritual headquarters of Scientology.
CARIBBEAN ISLANDS •
On the evening of Saturday June 14, fireworks fell above St. Kitts Bay as the Scientology Motor Vessel Freewinds launched on her Silver Anniversary Cruise. In celebration of her 25 years at sea, a weeklong convocation convened aboard the religious retreat, attended by more than 200 advanced Scientologists from Churches around the world.

Despite the downpour that marked this year’s Vancouver International Marathon, the Volunteer Ministers of the Church of Scientology of Vancouver provided volunteer manpower to help make the event a success.
More than 16,000 runners turned out this year for the 43rd running of the race, which has been recognized by Forbes as one of the top 10 marathons of the world.

Through their drug education and prevention work, Scientologists Mark and Carol Loweree of Sun Valley, California, are making a positive impact on the lives of thousands of youth in the San Fernando Valley—youth who might otherwise fall prey to drug abuse.
Several years ago Mark and Carol were approached by a police captain who was looking for a way to combat the serious problem of drug abuse among children and teens.
