Statement Concerning Discrimination
The Church believes that all people of whatever race, color or creed were created with equal rights—a principle so much at the core of the Scientology religion it forms the first sentence of the Church’s Creed. Those whose platform is discrimination always have and always will seek to oppose that message. Nevertheless, the Church continues fighting for the rights of all, as we proudly have for more than half a century.
The Church of Scientology is an international champion of social responsibility. We work to eradicate drug abuse, open the door to literacy, educate on fundamental human rights and help in the wake of disaster. Our humanitarian message and effective solutions to individual and community ills have inspired partners from all walks of life and all levels of government to join with us across the globe.
Blatant bigotry against any group is unacceptable. In recent weeks, our country’s collective message has come through loud and clear on discrimination of any kind: enough is enough.
