Logos, an Applied Scholastics tutoring program in the Ukraine featured in a new brochure published by the Church of Scientology, raised passing rates on state exams to 94 percent from the previous 40 percent average.
The Applied Scholastics Logos program in the Ukraine is featured in a new brochure, Scientology: How We Help—Applied Scholastics, Achieving Literacy and Education. The Logos program has been incorporated into various middle schools, trade schools and secondary school liberal arts, foreign language and social engineering classes after the group achieved unprecedented improvement on student scores on state exams—raising passing rates to 94 percent from the previous 40 percent average.
Logos is licensed by the Department of Education as a fully accredited scholastic provider. It also operates eight tutoring centers: two in the cities of Dnipropetrovsk and Kiev and one in each of the cities of Pobeda, Topol, Odessa and Plant City. More than 100 tutors trained in Study Technology provide these services.
Author, humanitarian and Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard isolated the precise causes for the success or failure of any activity of study and developed an actual technology of learning with which to master any subject. These educational breakthroughs are collectively known as Study Technology.
Realizing the impact Study Technology would have when incorporated into educational programs, in 1972 a group of educators founded Applied Scholastics in Los Angeles, California, to make this technology available to governments, schools and other secular institutions.
Logos Ukraine is licensed to use Study Technology by Applied Scholastics International.
The Ministry of Youth and Family Affairs awarded Logos with a certificate of recognition for their work.
Applied Scholastics International is supported by the Church of Scientology and by Scientologists who are dedicated to raising educational standards throughout the world.
