Meet a Scientologist:
General Contractor Builds Success With His Ability to Understand Others
In his “Meet a Scientologist” video published October 3, 2016, Tim Biedinger shares how certain skills he gained through Scientology became the foundation of his success.
Tim Biedinger, a general contractor from Las Vegas, Nevada, loves his work. He works on commercial establishments—restaurants, hotels and shopping malls.
“If it’s any type of construction, I just go do it,” he says.
One of the most important things he learned in Scientology was the ability to study—the ability to learn. He gained this through technology developed by Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard.
A lifelong educator, Mr. Hubbard initially developed Study Technology to train Scientology auditors (spiritual counselors) but the basics of the subject apply to any field of learning.
“I get all kinds of things that I have to study,” says Biedinger. “They have their own terminology and technology and it used to get in my way and it would be a problem. But, it’s not anymore. I know how to handle it, I know how to study it.”
Because he really digs in and learns the subject, Biedinger often finds himself so knowledgeable that he’s the one advising the experts who are supposed to be the ones telling him how to do a project.
Scientology also helped him master a skill that is often the make/break point of any business—the ability to deal with people—whether it’s clients, business associates, construction workers or inspectors.
“One of my best assets in the business world is that I understand people and I work with people well.”
“Scientology gave me a lot more insight into the mind and how people work,” he says, “and it makes life a lot easier to understand and easier to operate too. One of my best assets in the business world is that I understand people and I work with people well.”
“With Scientology, it’s not like I had to change myself,” he says. “I just had to be myself.”
The Scientology religion was founded by author and philosopher L. Ron Hubbard. The first Church of Scientology was formed in Los Angeles in 1954 and the religion has expanded to more than 11,000 Churches, Missions and affiliated groups, with millions of members in 167 countries.
