With Scientology, Winning is Par for the Course
Scientology helped professional golf instructor Faustino Gomez Fernandez perfect his game in the game of life. His profile is one of 200 “Meet a Scientologist” videos available on the Scientology website at www.scientology.org.
In golf, results count. When you hire an instructor, you expect to improve your game. That’s what Scientologist Faustino Gomez Fernando gives his students—that’s what he was looking for himself.
In his video at www.scientology.org, Fernandez, a professional golf instructor from Madrid, tells what attracted him to Scientology.
“Ever since I was a child I had wanted to know my real abilities and live up to my potential,” says Fernando. “With Scientology I found the answers.”
A very practical man, in 1995 when a friend told him how much he had gained from studying Scientology, Fernando wanted to see for himself.
“I read The Problems of Work by L. Ron Hubbard,” he says. “The book contains many practical tools. Every time I tried one, it worked.”
Fernando continued with his Scientology studies and counseling and found he was gaining more and more control of his life.
“Scientology helped me do better in my work, improve my family relationships, and achieve my goals. And it was all very simple, real and practical,” he says.
One of the first things he learned was the fundamentals of communication. He explains that it is this skill that makes him successful in his profession.
“As a golf instructor, you can give the best advice in the world, but if your students don’t comprehend or execute your directions it won’t do any good. When I give a class I make sure my students understand and can do what I teach them. That’s why I get results and so do they.”
At the age of 43, the happily married father of two sons is at the top of his game.
“It is just a pleasure to live this way,” he says.
