The new Church of Scientology of Washington was dedicated July 24, 2010, in ceremonies attended by 1,600 Scientologists and their guests. Mr. David Miscavige, Chairman the Board of Religious Technology Center and ecclesiastical leader of the Scientology religion, officiated. All those attending toured the new building and its Public Information Center after the ribbon cutting officially opening the new Church.
